i want to provide proper lighting and am getting confused by what's needed. I've heard day blue lights, infrared lights, black lights, basking dome lights. He's got an aduequate uth for heat, so it's not for heat. He just seems much more active with lights and I like watching him

You can use a low wattage red bulb for night viewing.

(By the way, I've been moving your threads for you. If you post them in the housing section you'll get quicker responses.)

If you have UTH do you leave it on all day or turn off and then black or red light on at night? I just got a snow gecko and Im not sure what my best option is. (Store sold me a basking light 75W)
