Punnett Square Help/ Morph Figurerer-Outer

Okay, last time I used a Punnett Square was in 6th grade. I'm not planning on breeding my geckos, but when I see people show their geckos, it's fun to gfigure out what they might have. It's also a good skill to know. How do I do one?

You have a variety of choices of what to assign to "A", "a", "B", "b". The simplest only have 2 letters: AA, aa, Aa. The capital letter is usually the dominant gene and the lower case letter is the recessive one. So, if you're talking about tremper albinos, the "A" is "normal" and the "a" is tremper albino. You need to have two "a"'s together to have a tremper looking albino. AA is normal with no tremper genes and "Aa" looks normal but is het for tremper. If you're trying to figure out how things work with 2 traits, then you choose the ones that use a,A,B, and b. The website will do the calculations.

I say just use the Genetics Wizard. It's a lot easier to use and you can use words instead of As and Bs. Plus they give you percentages instead of having to count out squares.

Okay, I'm using so what are the abnormal traits? How many do I want?

What do I put in the little box?

Also, what are the dominant and codominant, how do I tell the difference between a homozygous and het. leopard gecko?

Finally, what are dominate and codominate, and how do I know if a leopard gecko has one of these traits?

I think my problem is I don't know what my geckos' parents were, so I can't tell what my geckos are other than the female is a Normal, and the male is a Normal/Jungle.
