Pure Inferno's tainted with Eclipse...

I finally got good eggs this year from my pure inferno pair (straight from Luxurious).
Last year they paired but she produced no viable eggs.
The 6th egg from them hatched out eclipse.
So I decided to pair the male with a Nova that i didn't intend to breed this year.
The first clutch hatched out:
Enigma Eclipse inferno and Inferno...

I have talked to Pat Kline about it and he said he started the line before eclipse was even discovered. He also claimed that my hatchlings didn't resemble his inferno hatchlings. But I assured him they were and there was no other possibility.

If the only thing that pops out of this line is eclipse i'll be ok with that, but if there happens to be an unknown albino strain in there that won't be so good.

Has anyone else seen or heard anything of hets popping out of the Inferno line from Luxurious?
His page and whatnot is all but gone since he's left leopard geckos.
Here are pictures of the 6th and 7th baby from the pure inferno pairing. I'll get pictures and post them of the nova pairing babies also.

The only thing I can add is that I bought a male Tremper albino in 2004 (not from Pat) and he has turned out to be het eclipse as well.

Here is a picture, from Pat, of the Father.
I'll have to find a picture of mom, or take a new one.

Here are the babies from the Pure Inferno male x a female Nova.
The eyes look eclipse on the enigma, but maybe thats just the enigma screwing with things a bit.

I think your babies are definitely eclipse. I see cute little white noses and feet which are markers. I know enigma can turn their eyes a bit orange but I haven't heard about it messing with solidity - I don't mess with enigma so just may not have heard if its possible tho.

If he hadn't crossed it into albinos I dunno where my male came from! I got it from an auction on Breeder Shield that Pat donated and shipped to me and he called it an inferno RRS. Maybe I'll rethink breeding this male if his genetics are that muddy. Sad, he's gorgeous and super healthy. I'll keep my eyes open for anything else about this I come across.

I'll keep this thread updated on what else pops out from my breeding to a nova, hopefully it doesn't come out with any albinos.

Here is a picture of the mother "Pure" Inferno:

Unless a breeder has specifically test bred against all recessive traits, there's really no knowing what's in any line. The pool of leopard geckos wasn't that huge to begin with, so just because a breeder has never outcrossed, that doesn't mean the line didn't originally start with hidden traits. I know breeders like to label "no hets", but if you ask most of them, they've probably never test bred and are relying on labeling from another breeder, who also never test bred...

I agree indyana but my albino male came directly from the breeder that developed this inferno line. It was not mislabeled by another breeder. If he is telling people he has never crossed his inferno line into albinos yet selling animals to others that he is claiming are albino infernos something is awry.
