Putting tile down

Ok, so we have two baby rotties and they have completely destroyed our carpet. We have to replace it with tile. We are moving the geckos and turtle into our guest room so we can put it down but my question is how long do we wait till we move them back in. The smell of the glue is kind of harsh and don't want them to get sick or hurt and my nose isn't the best so what would be a decent time frame in which to move them back after the work is all done?

It took me awhile before I figured out that you weren't talking about carpet and tile inside the gecko cage. I don't know for sure, but I think it would work if you ventilate the space well and move them back when you can no longer smell it, continuing good ventilation when they are moved back into the room.
