Q on Thermostats...

Most thermostats come with a 6 outlet cord(spec. Helix & Johnsons), are they still effective if more than six flexwatts are plugged in? Meaning if I plugged five flexwatts directly into the thermostat, then plugged in another cord with multiple outlets in the remaining outlet, would everything still function OK? No website that sells them has this info, so if you have experience please let me know if this has worked for you.

They still work, just like SJP says watch about overloading, just check how many watts you're using and how much watts the thermostat can support..

Correct, but consider peak wattage especially on a non proportional thermostat. So with heat tape it shouldn't be a big problem, if you are using incandescents or ceramics the be careful.
