Q Regarding Hypo Snow and Shedding

This Question could probably go in another category but it seemed to fit here.

So, my TUG Snow, labeled Hypo Snow recently shed and she seemed to get more yellowish right before the shed and then stay that way after. I haven't had a chance to compair spots yet, but she still had quite a number. She is young at only 4 months.

So, my question is.. if they are hypo when do they loose their spot count? Does it vary a lot?

Also... do snow's white/yellow vary a lot as they shed or should she be, in theory, going more white if she's to be a nice white snow as an adult?

She has been a bit more shy since her shed, but I will hopefully be able to get some pics soon.

Hypo in snows will vary dramatically from gecko to gecko. Better the genetics and quality of the breeders the better the babies. A lot of people sell their "hypo" snows before 20g because they will slowly begin to loose their bright whites and clean bodies (unless they are from good genetics...in which case it will remain). As far as color, once they get the yellow it wont go back to bright whites. Snows always look nice though

Ok, thanks for the info. She is still a cutie even if she turns into a odd dull yellow. She might have something else, not be a pure snow too. I asked TUG but they apparently don't release that kind of info :(

Well, she is not dull... but her body is pretty yellow. It is a pretty palish yellow. One of her back legs is kind of a puky brown color. Her tail and head are still white/lavender though. I can post pictures later.

Same gecko...Yes its a Snow...Hypo & Tangerine doing their magic.

wow, that is a serious change on the black to yellow/orange gecko! It is pretty interesting to watch. So, are all hypo snows going to get some yellow to them or can you have a hypo snow that is white? Or would it have to be a super or enigma snow? My Enigma boy doesn't have a lot of spots, but of course it's due to his enigma gene he wasn't sold as hypo. He does have less spots than a basic snow however.
