as for where to buy I can't awnser.

They are NOT a staple food. They are too fatty and should be used as treats.

Mealworms, Superworms, Crickets, Cockroaches are all good foods.

Exactly was untide said.. Waxies are like eating twinkies on a constant bases. Lot of fat no real nutrition.

Local stores maybe? I get about 500 for RM1 (about $0.35) from a local store. Maybe you could get a bunch of beetles and start a colony. I'm trying that now.
