Question about dropped tail

My leo dropped her tail earlier today and was curious if I should do anything else to help her? She DOES NOT have any loose substraight at all. I have her on paper towels and in her moist hide is a damp paper towel. I plan on keeping it basic so there is nothing that can get inside the wound to infect it or whatnot. Is there anything else I can do or is this good?

Just keep everything extra clean for a while and keep an eye out for infection. Otherwise there is not much you can do but wait and see how it regenerates.

I thought so. I was just making sure there wasn't anything else I could do. Thanks

She dropped the entire tail from the base of the tail, so the whole thing is gone. I can get a picture tomorrow. I wanna leave her alone for a bit

Sounds good, no need to stress her. I was just wondering to be sure she droped it straight, if you say she did i bleive you. Some times tissue can be left behind and it can rot a little. A clean drops a good drop.

My concern is "why" did she drop it? They don't just drop their tails for no reason so I am wondering if something else needs to be addressed?

Oh, I'm sorry I forgot to mention. I just got her and another shipped to me and she started dropping it by time she arrived here. Se lost the rest of it when I got her out

Thanks - I am guessing stress then

I am not as experienced as others in keeping Gecko's - so hopefully they will chime in but my very small experience would say stress

Thanks for clarifying : )

A pic would greatly help members in suggesting care
