Question about Imported Leopard Geckos

I read somewhere that all leopard gecko imports are being stopped, Is that true? Also, are most of the "normal" leopard geckos in the trade E. m. macularius or some sort of mix of subspecies? If anyone has experience keeping/breeding imported leopard geckos I wouldn't mind hearing it.

i thought you werent allowed to import the WC ones i heard that you have to breed them and then import the CB ones

Importation of wild caughts is illegal. captive bred f1 generations of wild caught geckos are legal to be imported. Most "normals" are a little bit of everything that came in during the 70's and after.

I'm pretty sure that some European countries can import them, which is how we got F1s in America.
