Question about LLL Reptile

I was browsing their store last night looking for some cork bark, and I noticed that they also sell reptiles (duh, right?).

Anyone have any experience with their purchasing their reptiles?

I know they sell great products for a decent price (I have ordered from them 3-4 times in just the past two weeks!), but I was just wondering if anyone has any idea about their reptiles.

Thanks!

I personally have never gotton any thing from them. At an Indianapolis Reptile Expo I was with a friend of mine when he purchased a blue tounge skink from them. Later that week he found it had mites, after a vet check up it also was found with some sort of parasite. But at their table most of their animals looked ok.

I used to order feeders from them until I had a couple of orders arrive dead due to cold weather and they wouldn't replace them. After that I switched companies.

I never like buying my geckos from a large scale distributor. Chances are they're being supplied by people we already know in the trade, so there's no reason not to just buy direct from the breeder. You'll know what you're getting, and breeders are (in general) much more accountable and easier to contact should any troubles arise.

I bought an Ibera Greek and a couple Blazing Blizzards from them. I also got 1000 crickets from them once. No problems and the reptiles were in perfect condition. If they had something I wanted and the price was reasonable, I would buy from them again.

Well, I wanted a Chahoua.
Since they don't have lines listed, I went with a breeder that does.:D

I paid a little extra, but I have heard RAVE reviews about this breeder.
Worth it to me, imo.

hehehehehe!

I am so excited!

Well, I found out caging a baby chewie is not as expensive as I thought.
The one I should be receiving only weighs 5 grams, and my crestie weighs 4.8 grams.
I have my crestie in a medium Kritter Keeper for now, and I have been advised by two separate people that that would be fine for a baby chewie.
Once he/she hits 10 grams, I'll probably be buying an Exo Terra.
Then once he/she is full grown, my husband will have built an viv for it.

Chewies are really hard to find right now. Everyone is waiting on eggs.
Or if they have PIs, they are the right size to breed yet.
