Question about normals

Do normals lose their stripes as they shed? I know the pigments scatter but do they lose their stripes? Because Gex is losing his as he sheds.

yes the do lose the bold markings on the bands. as he gets older they will break up and he will gain and speckledy look.

He might retain some semblance of banding. Eclipse (the gecko in my avatar) is a normal but you can see she has spots of heavier and lighter spotting. Hers are particularly far apart, though, and somewhat unusual for a normally spotted gecko.
