can they co-exist in a 40G

does the sex matter between the ages of 2-4Months?

Im not 100% sure but i think i have a 4month old male 17G(Tailess) and a 3month old 17G female(with tail) Can they be housed in a 18X18X24 Terr??

The cage sizes you are giving are probably too big for geckos of that age/size. You could keep them separately in a couple of kritter keepers or what I did with two of mine was house them together but in a 12 x 12 x 18 which gives them plenty of room to avoid each other if necessary. The sex doesn't really matter at that age but you should watch them to make sure they are both growing and eating well.

Can it be done? Yes. Should it? Probably not.

Owning pets requires you to be careful and responsible. That means ensuring your critters are safe. Housing them separetely will give them a better chance of a stress free life. Keep them separate until you have sexed them (AT LEAST!) to ensure you do not have two males.
