First off both the parents are mack snows, had my first egg hatch last night and this is what I got, pretty sure its a normal but want to double tap with the breeders on here:
I heard they have a 25% chance to also produce normals, if thats the case do you think this could be a normal? it has some yellow on its body so thats what lead me to think its a normal
According to the Genetics Calc you do have a 25% chance of producing a WT, 25% chance for SS, and 50% chance for Snow. I would have to agree with Aliza on this being normal.
does the aberrant add any extra value or is it pretty common? also found a post on here http://geckoforums.net/f125-morphs-genetics/71659.htm if you scroll to the bottom the guy has 2 mack snows, or claims and one is aberrant with a little yellow like mine so maybe mine is a mack snow? I hope soo, but if its not since it came from 2 mack snows does it carry the mack snow gene in it or is it just plain normal? sorry for all the questions, I'm new to this and want to learn as much as possible from you guys, I want to eventually be a big breeder
I think the aberrant is a question of personal taste, though you could also say that an aberrant has the potential of some stripe genetics and could (no guarantee) produce a stripe. It's not that aberrant, though. It's possible that when it matures and the spots break up it will be impossible to really tell it is.
