I have heard of that, but obviously, you have to be really careful about stairs and other obstacles. A better bet, I think, is to put the leo in a large box or in the bathroom with the door closed.

yeah Im going with a no on this one...depending how big your leo is it may hurt its back, and get its toes hurt from the little slits in the ball. Plus if you think about how stress effects your reptiles, I think it would be mighty stressful on a Leo to be in a plastic ball from which it couldn't escape..then your talking about it possibly not wanting to eat due to stress..and so on. not worth it...Id make area in the middle of a room and create a barrier so you can sit with your Leo and watch it walk around.

Im kinda thinking it will walk a little bit and then lay down and ask where its UTH went to! LOL

Each night when the girlfriend and I are watching TV we take a different gecko out and let it roam around the bed. They are smart enough not to jump off the bed so they will just run to the edge, look down and turn around. This gives them plenty of exercise and gets them use to people.
I agree with the others that a hamster ball wouldnt be a good idea. Next time you get a big package in the mail keep the shipping box. During the summers I put mine in a box and take them outside for natural sunlight. Just make sure you sit next to the box so no birds swoop in for some dinner.
