question regarding baby death

so... had a set of eggs they incubated the same as all others went 45 and 47 days and hatched but ... the first baby had the yolk sack still attached not just a little all of it and died promptly after hatching it's clutch mate (the gecko i have been waiting for) ripped the still full yolk sack that was attached to it and died does anyone have any idea why this would happen?

In the wild incubation conditions aren't perfect so the weak ones probably wouldn't come close to hatching. With the steady temps and humidity of an incubator you'll get some that wouldn't have hatched in the wild.
