Questions about mealworms

Mealworms don't need to be specially bred for any particular animals' consumption--that includes humans. They're perfectly nutritionally sound in any case, unless you have them feeding on toxic waste or some other potentially harmful substance lol

Hehe you're absolutely right. However, they cannot be sold for human consumption without adherence to certain production guidelines, inspections, and applicable local / state permits. As a business owner, I was speaking more from that angle. :)

true. but are there guidelines when we're raising food for ourselves? the inspections and stuff are only there to insure the safety of /others/. :D heck, in a few of our southern states it's perfectly legal to eat /roadkill/. how safe can /that/ be?
