So acid stripes are just rainwater redstripes? And how do you get "het acid stripe"? If it is polygenic then there can't be hets right? I keep seeing banded het acid stripe everywhere. Just want to know because I've been asked this many times and I don't have the answers.

Where have you seen banded het Acid Stripes. I have never hatched a banded animal from this project. Also there is no one else that can possibly have these on the market so you need to ensure it is from me. If you have ever asked me I would have answered. I have a write up on my FB about the project if you want to low down on the project. However, Yes they are RW + Red Stripe but my line of them. They are far different than RRS in almost every way, especially in the retention of the Red Stripe.

My website is far outdated and my laptop is being repaired (which is where my webdesign program is on). I believe it was a post on Designers thread in which we discussed this. I had them listed as het Redstripe for a very short time as I got tired of explaining how Redstripes work. No one really knows how Red Stripes, Bold Stripes etc. work. Some believe the color is poly and the stripe is inc dom or recessive. The few I sold during that time frame I explained to the purchasers in details that they are "het RS" meaning they came from RS x RS (not going into details on acid or not because the point is the same) but were jungles but their ability to produce full stripes and more jungles was equivalent to Snake Eyes. I have personally found the color poly and the stripe to "ACT" recessive...although I do not believe it to be a true recessive trait. That's why I have since stopped labeling them as such because I didn't want to confuse people and have to explain my theory/reason on them being labeled as hets, although I do believe they ACT like hets. Does that make sense lol?

I would agree...but banded animals are capable of producing jungles naturally but can't produce a snow. Either way they act similar to both forms recessive and incomplete dom but I don't think they would ever classify for either.
