Ok so i was trying not to be a pest and was looking around on google but i could not find anything so im gonna be a pest and ask what i am sure is a pretty stupid question.

Is it normal that my female leo has what looks like two small holes at the base of her tail ? one on either side ? I had a look at the sexing pics on google and saw no other pics with this . . .

I have tryed to take pics. without flash you can't really see them and with flash still nothing because its too bright.

Not sure if you meant to come across so rude . . . but you did. Simply asking me to post a picture would have worked.

It's hard to help without pictures, but is there any chance your female is actually a male? The only holes that are normal are pre-anal pores... but they're more bumps than holes. google pre-anal pores on leopard gecko to see if that is what your looking at.

Yes, it's normal. I just checked one of mine. They are usually hard to see, you really have to push back the skin covering the vent.

x.shell.x- I apologize if it sounded rude. it wasnt intentional. It totally came across in the wrong context.I was wondering out loud whern I posted it and used the word geez.the context of the word "geez" came across with the wrong tone.

aliza - Im confused ,what is normal

i have seen those before on several of my leos, and if i recall correctly they were all females. they aren't open sores, more like open pores or something. they went away on their own with no complications.

Yes they are just pores. If I could take a decent close-up I'd take picture but my photo skills are no good. If you hold your leo (leo permitting) and move the skin near the vent, as if you have to examine the vent, you'll see 2 tiny openings just below the vent, closer to the tail. I actually think males have them too but I'm not going to disturb any more leos till tonight.

Yep i gave it a shot trying to get the pic again when it was light out so i would not need the flash and still couldnt get one that showed it. Bonnie sometimes has probs when she sheds so i was checking her belly after her last one when i saw them.

Thanks
