I have a heeuge unfinished basement, with plenty of room for a gecko rack. The thermometer down their says it averages 70F in the summer, and around 65F in the winter time. If i where to put a rack down there, would the temperature's harm the geckos if the had a warm side at 91F and a lid on top to keep it warm? Or is that a bad idea?:help:

I don't know why no one has answered I don't know anything about racks but I think that would be fine. I would just keep it away from the walls maybe in the middle of the room.

Go with belly heat and make sure the sides are covered. You can get nice insulated foam panels at you local homedepot or lowes. Just cut them down to the size of the racks. and you sould be fine. Or just fine some help framing up a small room and get insulation and get a oiled filled heater.

Yea, 65 seems a little cold.. But I keep my rack in my bedroom and it gets so hot in there from all the heat it gives off lol..
