I was just wondering other peoples opinion on when i build my next rack which holds 30 16 qt bins should i build the rack so the bins have lids on them or not? I was just wondering the pro and cons of having a lidless rack.I currently have a rack with lids the only cons are it takes time to remove the lids and i have to take the bin completely out to work in it.
-Thanks

I would make them wothout lids. It's less clutter and safes time if you do it right. :main_yes: :) :D ;)

You should do them without lids. You actually have a better chance of keeping them in the tub without the lids. This is because when you have the lids off (during cleaning), it gives them the whole enclosures to get out of. When you have the tub, just hanging out, the geckos tend to go to the back, so there will not be as many escapes. It also takes a lot less time to clean without lids. When feeding I actually open up all 10 tubs in a rack, and close the tubs when I’m done placing food in. Never even had one try to get out. If you sat the tubs side by side out in the open, I would think it would be a major pain, to keep them all in. So definitely go without the lids. EVERYTHING you do will be easier.

Defiantely without tubs it saves alot of time for me when im cleaning or feeding. On my melamine rack I haven't experienced any warping but i hear it does warp over time.
