Could this be made into a rack system or would the heat strips melt the plastic? If not then how and where would i put the heat strips.

Oh also on the one i have all the bins are the same it doesnt quite look like this one.

I have one like that with three drawers, I used 1-5 gal UTH's by ZooMed (the ones that say they're safe on plastic). So far I've had no problems.

I have the uth on the floor of each. There's enough room in mine for the cord to go up through the top and get plugged in in back. I tape the cord down so it's out of the way and line the tank with paper, put the hides and dishes in, and it's good to go. If it smells like plastic you might want to wash it out first, though.

Lol yeah they're a bit much. It would be more cost efficient to line them with heat tape but unless you get a really good thermostat they could melt the plastic

they are not easy to heat well. The containers are not designed to keep critters from getting out. most if not all of those types of containers have a gap at the top inside. Just large enough for a gecko to escape. even none climbing species(none toe pads) trust me I tried this years ago with some cave geckos. they are pretty similar to leos as fair as body structure and mobility. a couple babies got out and I lost an adult that way.

does the uth allows to have a cool spot and a warm spot or is the tarperware too small?
one of my leos is in a small aquarium (don't remember how mnay gal) and i'm afraid that isn't big enough to separate the cool from the warm

That "rack" has more floorspace than a 10 gal tank, so there's definitely a place for a warm side and cool side.
