I see where many of you guys have purchased from, I believe, RBI racks...? Have any of you guys purchased from rhinoraxx? I'm looking at their 10 drawer sweater box rack. I'm debating on the 15, but I really don't need that right now. I'm also debating on spending a ton more to get really clear tubs with handles versus the regular ones. I'd post links, but every page has the same url link. But's here's it is anyway. http://www.rhinorax.com/ What do you guys think or suggest? I'm looking at investing into something in the near future because my parents are building an addition to the house and moving all their stuff out of the extra bedroom, and giving it to me. I keep one room as an actually bedroom and one for my reptiles and furries (rat, hamster, chinchillas). I'm just trying to find the best quality and best prices. I'm also trying to find something that I can put my crested in, like a rack layout. Any suggestions for that?

there a a few threads about this but there are Animal Plastics that a lot of people like, and some others that I just can't think of right now, you can also build your own to save money.

that's what i'm thinking. I was just talking to my parents about it. I'm thinking about either buying a cheap on (199) and seeing how they built it to build more. but if anyone has good tips and instructions i'd be very greatful! i'm worried about working with the flexwatt tape. i've heard horror stories.

Racks are real simple to build actully, i build my own, If you go with the Sterlite containers, you can actully make a rack that is interchangable with the 15qt and 32 qt, thats how i make mine, even though im not currently using any 32qts, its always nice to be able to. Easiest way i found to build them is buy a few containers ahead of time, and simply build the racks around them. You simply just build shelves to hold the tubs, u want the shelves tight enough that even a hatchling gecko cant excape out of the top, but yet leave enough room so that they slide in freely(remember you need to leave space for the heat tape)

as far as the heat tape goes, there are plenty of threads in here on how to install the heat tape, I think a good rule of thumb is to lay the tape 1/3rd of the way out from the back of the rack, i use the 3" flexwatt. Some people say to use melimine wood because it woulnt catch fire, but once again I saved myself money and used plywood because of the fact that you set your thermistat to keep the heat tape at 90 degrees, so the tape should never get hot enough to set anything on fire. I built my last 24 container 15qt rack for approximately $100, without the cost of the tubs of course. Buying tubs for a rack like that costs just as much as it does to make the rack
