Thanks Jeff...and others...for the comments. Yes, his "pupil" is a faint straight white line. How are the eyes on the Radars...the same as the RAPTORs?

So far all of our Radars have dark cherry red eye's that seem more translucent than any of the eyes on our Raptors. They definitely have a different look than the eclipse eye on a Raptor. One of our Radars has extreme marbling throughout both of her eyes. We have Raptors with a lot of red marbling in there eye's but nothing to the extant of the one Radar we have.

Jeff, are they marbled eyes like this one? Or red on red marbling? Do you have any close up eye shots that show it? What do you think is causing the marbling? Does it seem to effect eyesight?

We have Raptors with eye's just like the one in the link. No it does not effect their eye sight. The Radar we have with marbling is really shattered so it has even more than just some irregular swirling, it's all over the place in little pieces. Most of it looks red on red. We are going to be getting a new camera soon with a macro lens so I can take good pictures of her eye then. I'll see if I can get some clear shots with our current camera.
The marbling in the eye I would have to say is random I do not know if you can produce more from ones with marbled eyes but from the ones I have bred I would have to say no. We have produced Raptors with marbled eyes from just about every breeding group of raptors we have. We even have some eclipse with marbled eyes but it looks real faded.
