Cool, did you use an eclipse not her tremper for the project or go the home made route?
Ian you crack me up-don't worry-I think some of us are stuck on the lavender bells. One of us will have an all lavender one some day. :)

Ok here is how the Radar project for me came about.

First off in March 06 I bought a male and female eclipse from Ron Tremper. A week later I had a house fire and lost all but 10 of my geckos, the pair of eclipse were saved. At that point is when Alberto came to my rescue. Up in till that I had only bought geckos from him. And he heard about what happened and offered to take care of my 10 geckos that survived while I got my place fixed and could get them back. In the end 8 geckos lived the other two passed a week after the fire from smoke damage to there lungs.

So at this point I had almost all males left in my collection. The male eclipse was one of them. This is where the partnership with Alberto first came about. Alberto had a couple of extra female that he let me breed my males to.

Breeding my male eclipse: I bred him to two things a group of 3 girls and a normal giant female.

At this point the eclipse was still kind of hard to find so I thought I will make hets and then breed them back to the father the year after.

So year one was 06
Group A. breeding the 3 females to the eclipse male. (babies were made and no albinos)
Group B. breeding the giant female to the male eclipse. (2.3 babies were hatched and again no albinos)

Year two was, 07
Group 1. I held back 7 females from cross A (jungle normals X Eclipse) that I breed back to the eclipse male( Eclipse male X het Eclipse) out of over 70 babies no albinos so at that point I knew that my male eclipse had to be pure.

Group 2. I breed the 3 mothers from group A to an Albino male het Raptor. Again I think I hatched out close to 25 babies from them and again no albinos. So that meant that the Group A females were also non het Tremper. And also meant that Group 1 all of the hold back females were pure with no Albino in them. So all of the eclipse that were made out of Group 1 were pure Eclipse. * All of the babies from group 2 were sold. Because I had found what I was looking for my pure eclipses. :main_thumbsup:

Group 3 was breeding the 1.3 from group B together to try to get giant eclipse. Again no albinos hatched out of this group. But eclipses were made. And held back.

Group 4 was actually just the giant female breed to the Tremper albino male het raptor that I breed to the females from group A. and again no albinos and again the babies were all sold.

Group 5 happened later in the 07 season when I had already found out that my male eclipse was pure. I breed him to 3 bell females. I got a group of 2.11 out of them that I held back and that is were my RADARS came from this year.

But also by doing all this work I had pure eclipse females that I used this year to make the next step of the RADAR and to create the “Typhoon project“.:main_thumbsup:

hope that helps and wasnt to hard to follow
