Ok while reading several post here today I ran across a thread where they were talking about all the different morphs and such. There was a list given that has several website that had lists of the morphs and small definitons about them. While reading over them I ran across the "Rainbows" this was my first time hearing of these, can anyone give me more info on them? What exactly there are? Any info would be great.
Thanks in advance
Thomas

Steve at Geckos Etc works with that morph (look on his morph page) and I think Alberto works with a rainbow stripe line that is a bit different. I can't ever find much on them either. We had a chance to pick one up a few years back and should have.

"Rainbows" were K&N line Hypo Tangerine-ish Stripes at one time.

Steve`s "Rainbows" came out the R/Aptor line, and are just Aptors, w/ some visible striping. It is really the same thing as a Patternless Red Stripe, and plenty of the R/Aptors had that striping.

Alberto now has "Rainbows" that actually come out of the Patternless Red Stripe line, and I think they are pretty much like RT`s "Emerald Rainbow Stripes" and have some interesting shades of green, coming through on them.

Jeff told me my PRS het raptor is a rainbow. I don't know if the hets matters? I don't think so.

This is what I thoungt was a rainbow back (an offspring to my "rainbow" female):

a rainbow is a hypo stripe. some of the first hypo stripes i can remember seeing came out of the nieves line. then K&N had more hypo stripes, most likely from different lines. i believe HQR's red stripe originated from the nieves line. i have thought that since i first saw them.
so basically it is just a hypo stripe and now people are adding more color into them :)

looks like a reverse stripe, not a rainbow.

Jeff had told me the Aptor was a Rainbow at one time, but I do not think it has proved out. If that were true there would have been an Eclipse to come out of the "Rainbows".

Now if Jeff has made Eclipse from his "Rainbow Red Stripes" I would back that up in a second, because there are some Red Stripes that are more like the "Patternless Stripes". He has not told anyone of proving out something like that. That makes me say that no the "Patternless Stripes" are NOT the same thing as the original "Rainbow". They do look alot alike though.

Then I am not so sure that Jeff`s "Rainbow" is the same as the K&N Rainbow, but who knows. He could have found the "Patternless Stripes" also just like everyone else, only his would have come from straight Red Stripes. Patternless Stripes come from crossing the patterns, and are "het" for Eclipse/Raptor. What I mean is, if Jeff`s "Rainbows" make an Eclipse, that makes them Patternless Stripes, not neccessarilly Rainbows.

Y`know? I wonder because did the real Rainbows ever make an Eclipse(?), I dont think so, meaning they are different than the newer types.
