Okay so we got two new babies last night!! :) They're both gorgeous and adorable, but i had a question about the one in the picture below. All of our babies from this particular pairing (blizzard F and Tremper albino M) have all looked completely normal, aside from on that we believe may be hypermelanistic. So what's with this random bright one? (lol)

I'm breeding a snow blizzard to a tremper albino and except for a few dark ones, the yellow on the others is so pale that I'm having a really hard time deciding which are snow. Are you sure the blizzard isn't het for albino? The dark bands on that one do look like tremper bands but the picture isn't the best, so it may just end up being a really light one.

I have no idea what she is. She (mother) is supposed to be just a blizzard and since we bought him from petsmart, we can't be 100% he (Father) doesn't have anything else him, but he just looks like a plain Tremper albino. My husband says that she's still just a het, but he mentioned something about pastels? (idk)......

Is it even possible to get a Temper albino from that pairing? (lol) May sound dumb, but i'm stumped by her b/c her clutchmate was dark, and they hatched only a few hours from each other. They don't even look related. (lol) And we have also had a mypermalanistic come from this pairing as well. wth? (lol)

Assuming that the blizzard female is not het for tremper, I would guess that you've just got a light one that will hypo out. I've gotten a great range from my blizzard/tremper pairing that go from pale lemon yellow to pretty dark, all of them with those lovely speckles.

That's good to know that their colors can vary so much. We've been scratching our heads over her color for the past couple of days b/c her and her clutchmate are polar opposites as far as color is concerned. lol

I had a number of hatches last year where one was quite dark and the clutchmate was much lighter. This year I have 2 pairs of clutchmates where one is a banded albino and the clutchmate is a banded snow albino.
