How come RAPTORs and APTORs arent actually patternless? Why do they still have markings on their heads and tails? Is it possible to have one that looks like a patternless with no markings on the body or tail but have albino eyes and more orange in the color of the body?

I would imagine that the higher quality R/Aptors are truly patternless. A lot of them start out patternless or nearly so and then at a relatively advanced age (like a year or more) they develop spotting. Some develop spotting after breeding. I find that the late spotting development seems to be characteristic of stripes. The gecko in my avatar, though not an aptor, is now much more spotty. Unfortunately, in my opinion, people are marketing some geckos as "banded Raptors" which seems like a contradiction in terms to me.

Thanks for the reply.

I agree. I see most of them having spots on their heads and bands or markings on their body. It doesnt make sense for them to still be called a patternless. I understand that the lines they come from are originally patternless and I believe I read somewhere that the tremper albino genes make it hard for the patternless genes to show and Im wondering is theres any truth behind that. Im also wondering if it is a hard thing to do to produce an actual Ruby-eyed Albino Patternless Tremper ORange. Im curious to see what some of the more experienced R/APTOR breeders have to say as well.

What I mean is for it to almost be like a sunglow with no pattern, similar to a high quality TUG sunglow, that has no spotting on the tail.

Im not sure what you mean exactly but Im wondering if its genetically possible to breed murphy patternless with sunglow and produce albino patternless with orange coloring.

Yea im not looking for a solid carrot tail though, Im wondering if it would be possible not have any markings but have orange color. The Tremper albino sunglows still have pink spotting on their tails and with the patternless gene could that be removed? could you have a patternless body with orange in the coloration and albino eyes with the tail not having the pink spotting?
