Now if i wanted to start a raptor project. What i have is a femal tremper and say i get a male raptor. Would Tremper x Raptor give me Tremper Het raptor?
I am confused by the raptor gene a little bit.

It's not exactly that simple. Raptor is a combo morph, all of the genetics for Raptor (Stripe, Reverse Stripe, Albino, Tangerine, Ruby eyes, etc) have to be present in one gecko to be considered a Raptor. Search "Raptor" in this topic, there have been tons of questions about Raptor genetics.

When you combine a Raptor and a tremper het raptor, you have a 50% chance of hatching out a raptor. Someone correct me if I am wrong.

you've got a 50% chance of hatching out an albino eclipse but b/c the raptor morph combines several patterns the percentage of hatching a raptor in its truest sense is much lower then 50%. Thats also why raptor x raptor doesnt produce 100% raptors.

No, two het raptors have a very very SLIM chance of producing a raptor. They can also produce: trempers, pattys, eclipses and every thing else that is in R.A.P.T.O.R if I'm not mistaken..

You have the genetics ok with your thinking (meaning the tremper albino and eclipse).
The confusion comes in with all the line bred traits that also make up a RAPTOR, they cannot be determined as a %, they are a bit of a lottery really as to what will come out, but loosly speaking the parents 'should' pass on qualaties to their young but they will also be carrying things you dont know about.

A RAPTOR is a patternless stripe. This is produced by breeding stripes and reverse stripes together and they 'can' produce patternless stripes, but you cannot predetermine how many offspring would be so. So a RAPTOR pairing would produce a mix of these, also the stripes origionate from the jungle lines, so a few of them may pop up also.

So RAPTOR x RAPTOR would give 100% eclipse eyed trempers, but a completly random mix of the other traits and if luck is with you a few nice examples of RAPTOR's.
The tang, CH,CT of RAPTOR's is also linebred, so you can see its a bit of a melting pot really and the eclipse/tremper are the only parts you can statisticly work out.

Hope this helps and i didnt just confuse you, i can never find a short way of explaining anything like this.

breeding 2 Raptors together will give you the best chance/most red eyed offspring. It doesn't matter if they have a tiny bit of red in their eyes or if they're both solid--either will produce the same percentage/# of red eyed offspring...IME
