Rat sneezing

My rat was a ***** adoption rescue who was supposed to be a meal for some guys snake. His name is Plauge and hes my first rat. He was trained by his last owner and has been very healthy and energetic, but the other day when i was cleaning his cage he sneezed a couple times. Any idea why? I heard this can be some respertory problem? I checked him over, looked at his nose and eyes everything seems normal.

Hey, I wouldn't worry to much about it, sometimes they get dust or stuff in their nose and sneeze just like any other animal. But if it continues for long periods of time I would take him to the vet.

On a side note rats are awesome pets, glad you rescued him!

Alright good. Id hate for something to happen to him. Ive had gerbils and hamsters before but they just dont have the personality like my rabbit and rat do.

I may take him in to the vet just for a check-up anyways.

I don't know if rats are the same but my ferrets sneeze all the time. It just goes along with sticking their noses and whiskers in dusty places. A check up to see where he stands health wise is always a good idea though. So are we going to get to see pictures of him?

I thought they said rats are not supposed to be on pine bedding?

Cute! I saved mine too. Jorda was only fancy rat and ablino in whole ablino rats. But she have cute some brown fur on her. :3

Hes not on pine bedding, its aspen. Dosent have the problems like pink and ceder. I know not to use pine, its the same w/ rabbits and snakes.

That's awful, why could they sell dumbos and fancy rats for feeders? ;__; Black dumbo? I bet it will be super cute. Dont forget to add pics when you get one . :]
