Alright so I'm gonna be doing breeding this year on a very small scale (2 females, 1 male) because I'd like to upsize my collection a little bit but not tremendously. Out of the possible 24 hatchlings I'd like to keep half and the other half I'm gonna sale to either another local breeder or to known individuals with experience.and what I am wondering is what would be a good price range to sell em at? One female is a Tremper albino and the other is a high yellow normal and they both will be bred with a male Tremper Albino.thanks in advance for your reply!

Well the two Trempers I have I.didn't pay anything for they were a rescue. And ive done research online and couldn't really find any prices on baby's cause it always said sold or out of stock and far as adults they ranged from 150-500 each

Normal het Tremper $15-25
Tremper albino $20-50
Purely based on the fact they were rescues and not breeder stock specifically purchased for color/pattern. Your local shop will probably offer you less, and pay you in store credit which works good for buying food/supplies. When I sell to local shops I offer less for cash, but retail for credit/trade. Start raising your own feeders now. I'd do crix first since the pin heads will be fed to the hatchlings.

Thanks much! And I am currently trying to get my own cricket breeding started so I don't have to keep buying them and that is the whole reason I am selling them instead of giving em away is so I can stock up on supplys.these prices that you are giving me what size are you basing em off of? Cause I know the average sale weight is 10 grams or so but I think I'm gonna wait till like 20 grams before selling cause I wanna make sure there healthy.

Instead of crickets, try to get a dubia colony going. The comparisons are in the Dubias vs crickets threads in the feeder section. I do something like what you are doing with my local pet store. I get about $15/leo for a three week old tremper albino giant (both parents are giants tremper albinos).

Dubia are prime choice. I completely agree. But, my experience was only with crix for hatchlings. I've never tried dubia for hatchlings. I do believe dubia are best for adults though. I had zero feeder loss. Roaches can survive anything.

If you post pictures of the parents it would help someone value them. The local pet shop by me sells regulars around 25 and tremper albinos 30-50. If you see them for more they are probable breed for years for a color or specific trait or hetero for something.

I uploaded a pic of my male to my profile cause it wouldn't let me attach it here for some odd reason and I might have to give dubias a try again.

I sell my most "regular" looking geckos (banded trempers, het blizzards, poor colored Mack snows) for $25, beginning at 15 grams. Most of my other geckos (APTOR, stripes, nice looking snows, super snows, tangs) go for $30-45 based on type and appearance. This past season I had 2 really nice looking Trempers, an APTOR and a perfect stripe that I priced at $60 just to see if they'd move at that price (2010 was a really poor year for selling leos in my case and 2011 was a bit better, so I didn't know how it would go). One of them has sold and there are 2 people interested in the other.

Thanks aliza..I'm not hundred percent sure on what I'm gonna price mine at yet. Just depends on the outcome of the hatchlings I guess ..my male is in my opinion a good looking albino he has the pale looking skin then certain areas from his head down his back he has a nice mellow yellow color and my female she doesnt really have any markings at all.and my other female which I believe to be a normal unknown if she's het for anything or not cause she was a Craigslist rescue and owner didn't no anything about her,but yet "he had been breeding and raising reptiles for 20 years" yea it really showed considering he had sand in her tank and there was fecal and dead crickets everywere.but anyways I guess any price is good really cause its gonna be going towards supplies not profit
