I've wanted to get a monitor for some time now. Been looking online and haven't found a real viable online community for good info on the different species. Can anyone suggest a good place to research more about general care and the differences between each species?

What kind of monitor were you thinking of? I don't know of a comparison website, but I do know of some decent ones for specific types of monitors....I personally have a Savannah, and he's one of the easiest I have to take care of.

I really don't have alot of interest in the savannah's, they are just a little too common for what I'm wanting. I'm not afraid of the more aggressive species, but I don't want the larger species like the crocs or niles, but i've seen some of the blue and green tree monitors and they've striked my interest. I've got some more research and decisions to make, just hadn't seen anywhere good to start looking.

i like yellow ackies they have them at my work their friendly love to run about

and also they are dwarf monitors they only get to about 2ft
