This is the first of what should be many more hatchlings from our Red Stripe het Bell male. This baby just hatched out and the mom was a Bell Hybino. Looking good!

lol, thanks but i have really bad gecko OCD. i'm up in the gecko room about 15 times a day and 5 or 6 times at night checking for eggs and for hatchlings. this is the first though of this year that has hatched out in the afternoon. most have been late at night or very early in the morning. it took her about an hour from the time i found her until i had her in a tub. i've actually caught 6 or 7 hatches this year so far

Beautiful Red Stripe Bell :main_thumbsup: -- or is it Red Stripe het Bell? I'm never sure :D Can't wait for mine! Somehow, that's my slowest breeding group.

you mark the eggs on the tops before removing them from your laybox. that ensures that the eggs stay upright during incubation. if the egg gets flipped over, the baby gecko developing inside can actually drown in the fluids. it's very helpful if you incubate multiple eggs in one container. usually when a baby hatches they will be running around and digging in the container. if the eggs get moved around, it's a visual identifier on how the egg should be situated.
