Red toe?!

I just had Domino out and his 3rd toe on the foreright foot is red, similar to what raw skin looks like after you lose a finger nail or something. It also looks slightly swollen. Any help with this? (If it helps, it looked fine a few hours ago.)

could he have injured his toe? gotten it smashed? putted a toenail out, like on repticarpet or burned it? or even had some stuck shed on her toes?

Maybe he burnt himself or when he was shedding he bit his toe?

I contacted Jess about this and she told me that it was probably stuck shed. I took a look and that is indeed what it looked like, so I put him in a warm bath for about half an hour as she suggested. Having a hard time getting the shed off, though - he flinches badly every time I get near the toe :/ He's completely fine otherwise though.
