Redstripes?

So I contacted a lady on Craigslist who was selling a breeding pair of leos. To my surprise these really don't look like normals. Both actually look like redstripes (is that correct?)... The owner was kind enough to send me these pictures so I could post them here and ask.

Here is a picture of the male:

And then the female:

She's selling them both for $75, including their tank. That male is really catching my eye... Would it be wise to invest, or no? ;)

I'd give them hypo tang with dorsal stripes. They could possibly be 1st gen red stripe outcross. But the only way really to know that is to breed them to see if you get any stripe types offspring or ask the past owner/breeder about the parents.

They look like a decent investment, but definitely get them off that particle looking stuff...

If you decide to buy them :)

I decided not to buy them. The owner neglected to tell me that the female was currently laying fertile eggs and that they were part of the package. She attempted to drop some off on me. I really couldn't tell what she was trying to sell more, the eggs or the parents.

Oh well, they both are certainly beautiful leos. I'm sure they'll find a home with someone in my area who has room for the eggs as well.

Too bad. I guess the moral of that story is if you don't want good eggs, don't put boys and girls together.

No kidding. I felt bad for her, she just didn't seem to make the connection in her head that that's the reason the female kept laying eggs. I suggested she remove the female or male and house them separately, but she claims she has no extra room to house them separately.
