I am currently feeding on mealies as my dubia colony grows.
And I am putting them in the fridge to stunt their growth. I know I should take them out once a week to let them feed.
Well thats my question, they came in little dixie cups with (what looks like) flaked oats. Is this food???

That Wheat Bran, is food, but for Hydration I would recommend a slice of Carrot or Potato. But definitely expect your Mealworms to loose nutrition, as refrigerating them makes them become Lethargic.

Yea, you should remove them for a few hours once a week to allow them to move around and eat. I also found when they got below 40 degrees, there were a lot of die-offs and "squishy" worms.

pet shop guy recommended it. As for moisture, you can use anything from wet tissue paper to water gel.

I must try sticking them in the fridge, one turned into a weird half worm, half beetle thing the other day... i call it weetle

You should be fine putting them in the fridge, but take them out everynow and then to let them warm and eat. Then about 24 to 48 hours before you feed them to your geckos take them out of the fridge and let them gutload and you should be fine.

I have never heard of Weetabix. Does it have sugar in it?
How do you do to prepare it for your mealies, grind it up? :main_huh:

Wholegrain Wheat (95%), Malted Barley Extract, Sugar, Salt, Niacin, Iron, Thiamin (B1), Riboflavin (B2), Folic Acid.

Its a breakfast cereal, you just crunch it up in to their tub, reeeally easy... but if you dont have them over there just use some wheat based cereal.

First time i put it in their tub they just stuck to it in about a second and wouldnt let go!
