I have a 2 1/2yr old male leopard gecko that has been fed crickets all his life and I want to introduce him to superworms as crickets are not always available at my pet store. The problem is that whenever I give him some, big or small, he always goes and pukes them up in a corner an hour later. I have one other gecko that eats only superworms (he's 10 and wont eat anything else unless I hand feed it to him) and 2 others that will eat anything. I would like to at least have something else on hand for him to eat when I cant get crickets, any suggestions for food or ways to get him to keep it down?

well i would not worry about the size of the super worm, but how many...try giving him only One. and see what happens if that doesn't work try ordering other feeders such as mealworms,wax worms,phoenix worms,silkworms,roaches or even crickets. i would try harder to get some crickets. and see if it happens, but in my opinion it sounds like there to much being fed, not the feeder its self because your going from a soft small meal (cricket) to a HUGE worm with a harder shell....like i said try One super.... but if this keeps happening go to the vet and make sure he doesn't have worms.
Well I have been feeding him only one a night and so far for the past month he keeps most of them down but is still regurgitating maybe 1 in 3. None of the vets in my area do reptiles, is there any way I can tell if he has worms? cause it is deffinately a possibility, I only got him 6 months ago and he is still loosing weight, not at an alarming rate, but is still not as fat as he was. Do you think I could send in a fecial test to another vet? Im kind of new to reptile problems
