Yes, with crickets we do. Just makes it easier to remove the ones not eaten and easier for them to catch. I only feed crickets once a week though . .cause I hate them. lol! Mealies, supers, phoenix worms stay nicely in the worm dish.

I have an small tank and its diameter is 12in and I feed them in their.I usually feed them one item at an time so they do not get stressed out but it s easier for me because I only own 2 leos

I very rarely feed crix to my gex.. only time i ever do, is if i run out of supers, and forgot to place the order for the next delivery in time... but if i do, and have to run to my local pet store real quick to pick up some crickets, then yes, i do take everything out of the cage. Just makes it easier for them to get em i think, cuz there is nowhere for the crickets to immediately hide, and the geckos will always see them. And whatever remain uneaten, are easy to find and take back out of the cage.

Might as well ask this.

Would you recommend taking a plastic container,http://img.directindustry.com/images_di/photo-g/laboratory-plastic-container-368112.jpg, and feeding in there. like putting a top on so the crickets do not jump out, allowed the gecko perfect view, or like putting roaches in there for the gecko to just munch on

You could try, but I find leos do not/will not eat outside of their own enclosure.
None of mine will, at least.
Heck, most of mine won't eat if I move them off of my rack.

I only take things out when feeding roaches. I leave worms in there all the time.
