so ive been using repti carpet for my leos but their claws get stuck on it and occasionally when they are hunting they will accidentally get the carpet instead of the cricket, and then they get stuck and jerk their heads around to get unhooked, it looks painfull.:(
so i was wondering if anyone had any advice?
all advice welcome and if anyone thinks i should change the substrate please let me know

I use repti carpet. I have had my leo for about 3 weeks and I havent seen any problems with it. If you want to change it i would suggets getting tile or paper towles.

The same thing happens to Presley on his carpet. That's why I'm installing tile this weekend :main_yes:

yeah i really hate seeing them struggle with it when they get caught. im getting tile, for now they are on paper towel. my problem with the paper towel is that you have to buy it again and again whereas i thought the repti carpet would last longer, but it sounds like tile is life long!

Some people turn the repticarpet over to the other side and have less problems like this. I am a true believer in repticarpet and I love the way it looks lol. Plus I have visionariums and with their curved sides I dont think tile will work for well.
