For the terds just let them dry. What doesnt come off just soak in hot water.

I always poured soap and bleach over top those carpets, scrubbing them with like, a horse brush? As long as you rinse them well, you shouldn't have a problem. I also noticed the bleach didn't fade or really do anything to the color of the carpet.

If you don't use some sort of disinfectant, I think you may regret it later.

I use to soak them in warm water with a little bleach. I got tired of them quicky though, dont use them anymore.
