I am currently watching 2 fat tailed geckos for my schools biology lab. One has it orignal tail, and the other one if regenerated. I am currently keeping them each in a 15 qt. shoe box at 90*f on the warm side on top of paper towls. They are on meal worms and have only one hid...for now at least. Is there anything else I need to know, I have never kept fatties before. Here are some pictures:

Sounds about right, there isn't much difference between them and Leopards, except for you are going to probably have better luck feeding them crickets, most of them will not go for the mealworms readily, also, you might want another hide and keep the paper towels pretty moist, they need it a little more moist than leos. Other than that everything seems pretty good. Good luck.

Most/Many AFT's won't eat the mealies. I've had 1 that would. I've only spoken to a few people that have been able to get their fat tails on mealworms... Most AFTs prefer crickets though.

Wow you are lucky. I have had my little girl for a year and she wont even give a worm a time of day. I can't even put them in the tank and make them move for her to eat them. Nothing works!
