I have a reptipro 6000 and the temperature fluctuates 1-3 degrees. I am incubating at 86, but during the night it will drop down to about 85 or 84. Is there any way I can stabilize the temperature? How much will that kind of fluctuation affect the eggs? I have bottles of water in the incubator and I have recently taped pieces of styrofoam in it to hopefully keep the temperature constant too.

I have not found that level of fluctuation to be a problem. I have the reptipro5000 and what I notice is that when the ambient temp changes significantly, the incubator doesn't adjust right away. I don't know if they ironed out that problem with the 6000. I spent quite awhile on the phone last year trying to explain this to the reptipro person but I don't think he got it.
