It looks like I'll have to order some mealworms online. I live in New Jersey. I emailed a few places with some questions and never got a reply. If they won't reply to a simple question I'm hesitant to order from them. Can anyone suggest any good places close to New Jersey?

I'm just about to place my order and I don't know if I should order 500 mealworms or 100 mealworms. This is just for one gecko.

I would get 500, even for one gecko. They last a long time in the fridge, months, and you're paying the same shipping for 100 or 500. Simply take them out once a week, feed a piece of carrot for 24 hours, take the carrot out, put them back in the fridge.

I know there are advantages to ordering online, but if you are only looking for 500 mealworms you may actually be able to pick them up locally for less than online. My local bird habitat store sells 500 cupped in bedding for about $10. Just another alternative to look into.

I got my 500 mealworms today. I guess there were 500 there but it sure looked like less. Before I refrigerate them how long should I leave them out of the frig to eat? They took only 2 days to arrive.
