Marcia that's interesting that your het rev stripes behave diff than the ones Dan and Alberto have. Have you crossed them w/ redstripes?
Do you guys think the red stripes have a diff impact on the reproduction of the rev stripe?
And what were you saying about seeing a diff in the non albino form of rev stripe vs albino form?

No. I have never worked with redstripes.

I have not worked exclusively with non-albino reverse stripes long enough to be able to tell anything... I am using them for another project at this time.

I think the stripes and reverse stripes in the Tremper albino are more like recessive traits and much more predictable. In my experience with non-albino stripes, I have not seen the same genetic behavior, and have strong doubts about them being a recessive trait... or at least 'recessive' as we know it. It is 'acting' more like a co-dom or incomplete dominant trait.

For example, I have crossed stripes with SHTCT's which in essence would produce 'het' stripes, right? But, I have gotten striped tangerines from the pairing:

So, this tells me that MY original line of stripes cannot be recessive. I have also crossed non-albino stripes with reverse stripes, and have not produced any 'patternless' offspring as demonstrated in the Tremper line.

I think that maybe it has something more to do with the Red Stripes. I don`t know for sure though.

I have noticed quite a few people hatching patterned geckos, out of SHTCT, and Hybino lines. Some of them do have aberrant patterns, and their patterns normally fade away. So I think it is possible some patterns have been bred into them in the past(?)
