I do believe that in speaking with many people that florida has a climate that can support Dubias and could potentially become a pest.

The roach man Nigel would have the best answers to your question since he loves his creepy crawleys.

No, Georgia has no law against buying or selling roaches (At least not one that inhibits raising them as feeders or keeping them as pets)

B.dubia, B.lateralis, and most Hissers are illegal in FL. The only other species that are Legal in FL are True Death Head's and Crosses (Blaberus craniifer) aswell as Discoids (Blaberus discoidalis)

I have spoken to the ag department in Florida, the only legal ones are craniifer and discoids, you can keep hissers only with a permit.

Prove to me that dubia are legal to sell in Florida, I can prove that they ARE NOT legal to sell in Florida. Only NATIVE roaches can be sold in Florida, sorry your information is wrong.

The species of cockroaches that are native to Florida are listed as follows:
Panchlora nivea (green banana roach)
Hemiblabera tenebricosa (broad keys roach)
Blaberus craniifer (deaths head)
Blaberus discoidalis (discoids)
Eurycotis floridana (florida skunk roach)
Periplaneta americana (white eye american roaches)

These species can legally be sold...as far as the hissers...they require a permit....this is stated in the Department of Agricultural Consumer Services which is here http://www.doacs.state.fl.us/pi/enpp/pdf/Guideline-for-Importing-Exotic-and-Non.pdf

Dubias, being that they are NOT native, are not legal to sell here.

actually a typographical error

I meant death heads not dubia, along with discoids are legal as well as native and adventive species such as panchlora nivea also male hissers are legal. I thank you for bringing this to my attention.
