So i pretty much have to tong feed all my leos now thanks to roach grip of death on paper towel flooring. And they also seem so low to ground that my baby's miss and get a mouth full of towel. Do people have tricks so roaches don't out run and out HOLD a gecko? Would love to learn tricks of the trade. Girlfriend hates the fact we even have roaches, and to leave them in cage worries me. They may climb up and out with are custom backdrops we make them.

My experiences with roaches were worse than those with crickets.
Long story short, I'm switching to silkworms. XP

i HATE roaches and my leopard geckos dont really seem to go for it either..Many sometimes. i think Movement is good. but when they see something running like it was on fire they tend to run away then run for it. so i will smash or pick there little legs off. so they will kick around but cant move.and only wait for the leopard gecko...Dun dun DUN! < (jaws music)

I made a post like this in the past, and was corrected by quite a few people. :main_thumbsdown:

I use a small feeding dish for the roaches I feed. They are Turkistan and run like on fire. But the bowl they can't climb out of, hehe. So they are sitting ducks, ahem, sitting roaches, for the leos.

In my apartment with a roomie.
I just cant believe that so many people have had such rotten luck with roaches.....My leos and pictus love em and the "death-grip" never stands up against a hungry gecko IMO...Maybe your geckos just need to build strength. . .Sthength that comes by latching onto a nice plump dubia and savagely ripping it from the environment in a lethal display of live feeding....Cute scene if you think about it...=)
