Hi guys!

What's the best/recommended feeder roaches for our leos?
Having low maintenance, nutrients and stuff like that.
I feed my leos mealworms and crickets so I plan on having some variety on my leos diet.

Thanks and regards!

I like Lobster Roaches . They don't climb, there slow compaired to most roaches and there about the same size as crickets .

I would send you some but the harsh winter this year really killed off my colony .

We feed dubias. They don't climb & the reptiles seem to love them. We had some picky leos who wouldn't eat much. We tried roaches and they are some of our best eaters now.

I'd go with dubia. Just make sure that you feed appropriate sized roaches, they can get a decent size. I wouldn't feed adult dubia to adult geckos, as they're still big for my tastes.

Roaches don't smell either.

Are you sure you mean Lobster? Lobster roaches are very good climbers. I hate lobsters for that reason.

I think they grow and reproduce faster if you keep them warmer (~95F), and will slow down on growth if kept cool. Just remember not to let them get too cold, otherwise they will die off.

I will also give Dubia a vote. :)

Just to give you an idea on how prolific dubias are. I started with 30pcs 1.5 yrs ago. They were meant to replace my cricket colony. I feed them to my scorpions and tarantulas. Now, the dubia colony is almost a thousand by estimate. This is one of the many reasons why I considered keeping a leopard gecko.

That's great! Would you be selling some roach enough to start a colony? Thanks again!
