I'm looking into getting a pair of Rosy Boas, and I'm curious about the morphs. I'm looking into a Limburg Albino and a Long Canyon Hypo. Could anyone tell me what offspring the pair would have?

Well Personally I wouldn't do the cross as you would be crossing L. t. myriolepis(Limburg Albino) and L. t. gracia(Long Canyon). But hypethetically if you did the cross you would get Hybrids Double Het for Hypo and Albino.

I too wouldn't suggest that cross. You'd be crossing two different subspecies, which is pretty frowned upon, and also you'll probably have a bit more difficult time selling them, if that's what you're planning. I'd suggest getting a pair of either type, and I'd suggest Limburg Albinos over Long Canyon Hypos.

Those Limburg Albinos, IMO, are the nicest Rosy. Something else I've personally had my eye on for a long time. You better post pictures if/when you make your choice, Whitney! :main_yes:

Sorry. I meant to reply back on here before anyone replied. I figured it out like the second after I posted this. The entire day has been one big brain fart. lol

Oh and it's a the limburg male and a het female- unrelated pair. The male I had been talking to the guy all day about was available, then all of a sudden he informed me in-between the few hours of no emails someone paid him. He said the second male he has is equal to the other, but the picture is just washed out. I paid for him, but won't get an updated picture until Saturday. If it turns out the male is hideous, I was promised a refund. I was just really looking at the near neon orange of the first male. We'll see...

I really like snows too, but I just want to start with one pair for now... Plus, I haven't informed my parentals that I'm getting not 1 but 2 more snakes. Lol oops... I may be able to pull it off because I'll be home all next week while they're at work. I can pull out the tanks from the shed and fix them up in my room, where they never go. Just gotta get extra cage clips this weekend. I warned them in December I was looking; I just got a few dirty looks from them.

Ok, and what do you guys think about the hypos? I may go back and buy one from him... He's got a nice female...

Congrats on the soon to be rosy. They really are great snakes, I'm trying to find mine a girl friend as well.

I'm curious about the hybrids though, I know of someone who paired a san felipe with a mexican of some variety and they produced beautiful burgundy and orange babies. I know its frowned upon but don't people now think that some of the leo morphs we have today branched out from early unknown hybridization of their subspecies? I don't know I'm just really interested in the topic, I know its a bad idea if the animals are sold off as one thing when their really hybrids, but is it so bad if they are sold labeled as "hybrids" of so and so? I guess its an ethics thing as well though, wanting to keep lines pure and such. Interesting though.
