Rude awakening

Wellll my first hatchling of the season started to come out today after 31 days of incubating 88 degree. half of its head is out but it just stopped, from the look of the color I think it's either a Tremper or a mack tremper unsure til it's out... but well aint much movement and this is a really small egg (half size of normal) hoping it'll make it =(

welll.... after 7 hours of that little one being in the egg (It happened last night only posting it now) I decide to open the egg a bit.. Well the little one never made it. It was fully formed, my first mack snow tremper... but its belly was open and I guess it died in the egg

I'm so very sorry the little one didn't make it... it's such a shame when they are full-term and appear healthy that they can't survive being born.
