Runny stool

Hello all.. I new leopard gecko owner here. I've had my leo for a month now. The last 2 nights, he has had runny stools. This has coincided with a shedding cycle, and I've noticed he had been drinking a lot of water the past few days. One other odd thing I see him do from time to time is lick his behind.

Everything else about him has been normal.. complete sheds, eating very well, very active. Does anyone with more experience have any advice or help to share? Thanks ahead of time for your help!

I'm putting in a call today to the vet, but if any of you have personal experiences that may be similar, please do let me know. Thanks!

From my experience it means only one thing.. Parasites. :x

It could mean a bunch of other things besides parasites too ya know... Is it me or is "parasites" the answer to any and all leopard gecko sicknesses... Its good to be aware of parasites and all but it is not the only thing that will cause runny stool, regurgitation, and weight loss...

Interestingly enough, his stool tonight was significantly more solid than last night. And again, his behavior is completely normal. I called the vet, who said to monitor it for a few more days and if it doesnt improve to bring him in. SO here's hoping its not parasites!
