hi, i've been visiting this forum but just recently joined.... I had a flying gecko for a short period of time. I got him (definately a male) about 1 1/2 weeks ago and named him Webster. My setup seemed to be near perfect as far as specs i had read. 84-86F temps, 60-90% humidity varying when i misted about 3 times a day. Anyways he was kinda slugish when i got him but i had attributed this to stress as he was only at the store 2-3 days before i got him so he had been moving alot. He hadn't been eating but i also had read this was normal the first week or so. Then yesterday i came home from the pet store getting some meal worms to see if he'd eat those, and he had passed away It was sad but i was starting to think that he might at this point. So i had all these cricket and meal worms and I didn't think my 2 anoles and 2 green treefrogs would be able to eat them all... So i went and bought to little house geckos, to make this story sadder, i woke up this morning and went to check on them, and found 1 dead anole (stupid cat) and the 2 house geckos are gone. I noticed the lid had a small gap just big enough for them to slip through. I'm hopimg the geckos will turn up but being so fast even if i do spot them i'm not sure i could catch them... and there are too many hiding spots here.... So now I have a 55gal vivarium w/ just 1 lonely anole and two scared green tree frogs. I will definately make sure this doesn't happen again. Sorry i've been rambling but just wanted to share my sad story. I'll post some pictures of Webster later.
