Sad day to be a gecko

hi, i've been visiting this forum but just recently joined.... I had a flying gecko for a short period of time. I got him (definately a male) about 1 1/2 weeks ago and named him Webster. My setup seemed to be near perfect as far as specs i had read. 84-86F temps, 60-90% humidity varying when i misted about 3 times a day. Anyways he was kinda slugish when i got him but i had attributed this to stress as he was only at the store 2-3 days before i got him so he had been moving alot. He hadn't been eating but i also had read this was normal the first week or so. Then yesterday i came home from the pet store getting some meal worms to see if he'd eat those, and he had passed away :( It was sad but i was starting to think that he might at this point. So i had all these cricket and meal worms and I didn't think my 2 anoles and 2 green treefrogs would be able to eat them all... So i went and bought to little house geckos, to make this story sadder, i woke up this morning and went to check on them, and found 1 dead anole (stupid cat) and the 2 house geckos are gone. I noticed the lid had a small gap just big enough for them to slip through. I'm hopimg the geckos will turn up but being so fast even if i do spot them i'm not sure i could catch them... and there are too many hiding spots here.... So now I have a 55gal vivarium w/ just 1 lonely anole and two scared green tree frogs. I will definately make sure this doesn't happen again. Sorry i've been rambling but just wanted to share my sad story. I'll post some pictures of Webster later.

Well also you should remember that the species you are working with are all practically wild caught with almost no Captive Bred specimens anywhere, either way its sad to hear that. I sorry for your loss

You sure your tree frogs didn't eat your house geckos? I've heard they'll eat pretty much anything that moves.....

I'm about 99% sure that they frogs didn't eat them because the house geckos were way to big for the size of frogs.... The store i got them from is gonna either order me a new one or give me store credit (and i get a huge discount because my sister works there) so i might just use the credit towards getting an exoterra tank so i can start a new gecko tank. There's a halmahera at another pet store i'd really like to get but i might go w/ some cresties. Oh well... that's nature i guess...

Well i found the house geckos.... They were in the tank the whole time.... I have a fake stone tower thing in there and they had gotten inside and clibed to the very top... There's a small ledge on the inside that i couldn't see when i checked there before. I checked again just to make sure and one came running out and the other just poked it's head out then continued to hide.... Sneaky little guys.
